6.2.3.1 USB Interface
If USB is selected, a secondary dialog displays to facilitate the selection of the
specific PPC4. Only PPC4s actively connected to the host PC via USB are listed.
Choose the specific PPC4.
[OK]
to continue. The Cockpit will load the PPC4
information and run. There are no specific PPC4 menu options required to use
the PPC4 via USB.

6.2.3.2 RS232 Interface
Select
[RS232]
on the opening Cockpit dialog to communicate to the PPC4 via
RS232. It is necessary to verify the PPC4 front panel RS232 settings prior to
completing the RS232 setup in the PPC4 Cockpit. The selections on the RS232
Settings dialog represent the RS232 port that connects the host PC to the COM1
port of the PPC4. The RS232 settings must represent the RS232 settings
obtained from the front panel of the PPC4 (see Sections 4.5.2.1 and 5.7.9.1).
