DC breaking at start is used to drive motor to standstill before normal start. Two
parameters should be set, namely DC braking current and DC braking time during start.
When the system receives start command, VFD will output DC current(P0587) in a
duration time(P0589).
D
C breaking at stop is used to break motor quickly during stop. Three parameters
should be set, namely DC braking current, DC braking start speed and DC braking time
during deceleration stop. When the system receives stop command, VFD will decrease
output speed to the DC braking start speed(P0588), and stop output. After a fixed time,
VFD will output DC current(P0587) in a duration time(P0590). If the system receives
coast stop command, VFD will stop output and won’t implement DC breaking any more.
