ipv6 nd max-ra-interval
Configure the interval between the IPv6 router advertisement (RA) transmissions on an interface.
E-Series
Syntax ipv6 nd max-ra-interval { interval } min-ra-interval { interval }
To restore the default interval, use the
no ipv6 nd max-ra-interval
command.
Parameters
max-ra-interval
{
interval }
Enter the keywords
max-ra-interval
followed by the interval in
seconds. The range is 4 to 1800 seconds.
min-ra-interval
{
interval
}
Enter the keywords
min-ra-interval
followed by the interval in
seconds. The range is 3 to 1350 seconds.
Defaults
• Max RA interval: 600 seconds
• Min RA interval: 200 seconds

Configure an IPv6 neighbor discovery.

Syntax ipv6 nd mtu number
Parameters
mtu
number
Set the MTU advertisement value in Routing Prefix Advertisement
packets. The range is 1280 to 9234.

Usage
Information
The
ip nd mtu
command sets the value advertised to routers. It does not set the actual
MTU rate. For example, if
ip nd mtu
is set to 1280, the interface still passes 1500-byte
packets.
The
mtu
command sets the actual frame size passed and can be larger than the advertised
MTU. If the mtu setting is larger than the
ip nd mtu
command, an error message is sent, but
the configuration is accepted. The error message is:
% Error: nd ra mtu is
greater than link mtu, link mtu will be used.
