SNMP Trap Settings
page
contains the following fields:

SNMP Trap
—Enables sending SNMP traps or SNMP notifications from the switch to
defined trap recipients. The possible field values are:
–
Enable
—Enables sending SNMP traps or SNMP notifications.
–
Disable
—Stops all SNMP traps from being sent.
•
Authentication Trap
—Enables sending SNMP traps when authentication fails to
defined recipients. The possible field values are:
–
Enable
—Enables sending SNMP traps when authentication failed.
–
Disable
—Disables sending SNMP traps when authentication failed.
•
Select Recipient IP
—Specifies the IP address to whom the traps are sent.
•
Traps
—Determines the trap type sent to the selected recipient. The possible field
values are:
–
SNMP V1
—Indicates SNMP Version 1 traps are sent.
–
SNMP V2c
—Indicates SNMP Version 2 traps are sent.
–
Disable
—Disables sending traps to the recipient.
•
Community String
—Identifies the community string of the trap manager.
•
Remove
—Removes
Trap Manager Table
entries.
