Interface Settings
The IP Address may initially be set using the console interface prior to connecting to it through the Ethernet. If the Switch IP
address has not yet been changed, read the introduction of the
DGS-3600 Series CLI Reference Guide
or return to Section 4 of
this manual for more information. To change IP settings using the Web manager users must access the
IP Address
window
located in the
Administration
folder.
The Web manager contains two folders for which to set up IP interfaces on the switch, one for IPv4 addresses, named
IPv4
Interfaces Settings
, and one for IPv6 addresses, named
IPv6 Interfaces Settings
.
NOTE:
After properly configuring an IP interface on the Switch, each
VLAN can be routed without any additional steps.
IPv4 Interfaces Settings
To view this window, click
L3 Features
>
Interface Settings >
IPv4 Interfaces Settings
, as shown below:

To remove an entry from the table, click its corresponding
under the Delete heading.
To manually assign the Switch's IPv4 address and its related configurations, click the
Add
button, revealing the following window
to configure:

To modify an existing Interface, click that interface’s
Modify
button, which will produce this window:
