5.2219 Sync Mon Interface Connectors
The J7B pins provide an interface to the second Synchronization Monitor
Card, if present.
5.2220 Output Pins (J9B to J18B)
Paired pins on J9B to J18B provide twenty wirewrap outputs for each output
card slot. Most output cards have twenty outputs available. Some have fewer
outputs.
Refer to
Figure 5-18
at the end of this section.
5.2221 Card Slots (J1 to J8 and J9A to J18A)
Card slots J1 to J18A on the backplane each contain 56 pins (28 odd and 28
even). Clock and input data are bused between the various cards through
these pins. The installer does not normally work with these pins on the top half
of the shelf. The optional 54580 Network Time Server, if present, must be
installed in card slot J18A.
5.2222 GPS Antenna 1 (J24)
J24 is the connector to Global Positioning System (GPS) Antenna 1. The
antenna provides the L1 band (1575.42 MHz) signals to the GPS receiver on
the A 54591 or 54593 card.
5.2223 GPS Antenna 2 (J25)
J25 is the connector to GPS Antenna 2. The antenna provides the L1 band
(1575.42 MHz) signals to the GPS receiver on the B 54591 or 54593 card.
5.3 Model 54511/54512 Input Card
5.3010 One 54511 T1 or 54512 E1/2.048 MHz card is used in conjunction with each
54522, 54523, 54591, or 54593 track and hold card in the StarClock 200E
system.
5.31 Functions
5.3110 The Model 54511/54512 Input Card performs the following functions:
a. In conjunction with circuitry on the backplane, provides terminating,
bridging, and monitor inputs for the T1/E1 reference signal.
b. Recovers data and clock from the received signal for use by the track and
hold card.
c. Sends clock signals to the output cards.
