backplane. However, in some complex installations, the StarClock 200E
expansion shelf is used to aid in timing output distribution. A maximum of eight
expansion shelves may be used for this purpose, all “slaved” from the main
shelf in a star topology.

For additional wiring convenience, Model 54505-0 Wirewrap Interface Panel is
available. This is installed either directly above or directly below the main shelf
and it provides 100 sets of T-R-S wirewrap pins in a wider pattern for easier
attachment on the front. Model 54505-0 bears four telco connectors on its rear
face. Telco connectors on short 25-pair cables then connect this panel to the
main shelf, and the wire ends are wirewrapped to the main shelf wirewrap field.
One such wirewrap panel could be installed directly above the master shelf and
one could be installed directly below the master shelf. Details are found in
