Outputs and Controls:
a. Alarm line to 54560 Alarm Interface Card signals loss of one or more
outputs.
b. One-wire interface to 54550 Information Management Card reports
personality and LED and output status and can disable the capacity of
any specific output to generate an alarm.
c. Switch selects SF or ESF framing. See Figure 3-11.
d. If one or more outputs fail to meet the output pulse amplitude level, an
output failure is reported to the 54560. This failure can be caused by
external wiring capacitance or faulty termination. The number of output
failures is monitored by the 54550.
e. There is a small jumper behind the faceplate that selects Protected or
Non-Protected operation with a matching output card.

For the front panel of the Model 54572, refer to Figure 3-13.
3.4311 Input
Signal:
Differential 1.544 MHz TTL clock signal from one of the two track and hold
cards or, if both of these have failed, from one of the two input reference
signals. The card provides for automatic selection of these input references.
Automatic selection can be overridden by manual remote selection.
