Print Quality Problems
The print quality has deteriorated compared to when you just purchased the printer.
Cause The static charge eliminator is dirty.
Remedy Clean the static charge eliminator. (See "Cleaning the Static Charge
Eliminator," on p. 6-24)
Square areas that cannot be seen on the display appear around lines or text and are printed
in a different color from the other areas.
Cause A process that is different from the specified halftone process or color process
may be applied depending on the operating system or application.
Remedy 1 Set [Use Pure Black] to [Always] or [Never] in the printer driver.
In order to specify the setting for [Use Pure Black], display the [Custom
Settings] dialog box by clicking [Settings] in the [Quality] sheet.
Remedy 2 Set [Color Halftones] or [B & W Halftones] to any of [Resolution], [Gradation], or
[Color Tone] in the printer driver.
In order to specify the setting for [Color Halftones] or [B & W Halftones], display
the [Custom Settings] dialog box by clicking [Settings] in the [Quality] sheet .
