Cleaning the Static Charge Eliminator
When the print quality has deteriorated compared to when you just purchased the
printer, there is a possibility that the static charge eliminator is dirty. Clean the static
charge eliminator using the following procedure.
IMPORTANT
When the [Reduce Vertical Streaks on Outputs] check box in the [Assisting Print
Settings] dialog box in the Printer Status Window is selected, the printer prints without
using the static charge eliminator. Therefore, cleaning the static charge eliminator has no
effect on the deterioration.

Open the front cover.
Holding the opening of the front cover, open it gently.
