Paper excessively curled when output from the
printer unit?
You may be using paper that curls too easily.
Make sure that the paper you are using meets
the specifications. (See “Loading Standard/
Irregular Size Paper,” on p. 1-10.)
Remove the paper stack, turn it over, reload it
in the paper drawer, and try again.
Printed output faded or streaked with white?
The toner inside the cartridge may be unevenly
distributed.
Remove the cartridge, rock it gently five or six
times, and try to print or copy again. If this does
not solve the problem, replace the cartridge.
(See “Replacing the Cartridge,” on p. 1-21.)
Envelopes wrinkle excessively when printed?
The envelopes wrinkle when passing through
the fuser unit because the pressure of the
rollers is too great for the thickness of the
envelopes.
Raise the levers on the fuser unit to reduce the
the roller pressure on the envelopes and the
fuser unit and to reduce. After printing, make
sure to return the levers to their original
positions.
When loading envelopes, make sure to remove
any curl and press the air out of the stack
before placing the envelopes in the envelope
feeder.
