Correcting Poor Image Quality on Printouts and
Copies

When You See Vertical Stripes or Fading

If the toner supply in the cartridge is low or unevenly distributed, white streaks or patches, or faded
characters, may appear on printouts and copies. You will need to distribute the toner evenly inside
the cartridge.

Open the top cover.

Remove the cartridge from the printer
unit.

Rock the cartridge gently to distribute
the toner evenly five or six times.
