Clearing Paper Jams

Paper Jam in the Center Tray

If a paper jam occurs in the center tray, a

display similar to the one shown appears in
the touch panel display. Check where the jam
occurred, and follow the procedure below and
the procedure that appears in the touch panel
display to remove the jammed paper.

Gently pull out any jammed paper, as
shown.

IMPORTANT

• If the jammed paper cannot be easily

removed, do not force it. (See “Paper Jam
in the Top Cover Area,” on p. 2-10.)

Open the left side cover.

NOTE

• If there is paper jammed in this area, fol-

low the instructions in “Paper Jam in the
Left Cover and Fuser Unit Areas,” on
p. 2-6 to remove the jammed paper.
