Loading Envelopes
When printing on envelopes from the stack bypass, use the following procedure to change the pres-
sure adjustment levers. Printing envelopes without changing the levers may cause the envelopes to
be creased. Also, be sure to reset the pressure adjustment levers in the fuser unit after you have fin-
ished printing envelopes. Failure to do this may reduce printing quality.

Turn the control panel power switch to
OFF, then turn the scanner unit and
printer unit power switches to OFF.
NOTE

Guide.

Open the left cover.
If you are using the optional finisher,
pull it away from the printer unit before
opening the cover.
