Turn the paper stack over, and place it
in the paper drawer.
Align the edges of the paper, and load the
paper as shown.
IMPORTANT
• Make sure that the height of the paper
stack does not exceed the limit mark
.
NOTE
• The paper drawers are designed to hold
the following types of paper.
- Upper paper drawer: LGL, LTR, B4, A4
- Lower paper drawer: 11"x17", LGL, LTR,
A3, B4, A4,
• Each paper drawer holds up to
approximately 500 sheets of paper 20-lb.

• If the paper is curled, straighten the curl
before the paper is placed in the paper
drawer.
• For high-quality copies and printouts, use
paper recommended by Canon.
• When loading paper in the stack bypass,
the surface that was up in the package
should be face up.
• When printing on both sides of paper hav-
ing logos or other decorations, place the
printed side of the first sheet face up.

Hold the recessed grip on the paper
drawer, and slide the drawer all the way
in until it clicks in place.
IMPORTANT
• Make sure paper or other objects do not
obstruct the opening at the side of the
paper drawer. This may cause paper jams.
NOTE
• If printing has been interrupted because
the printer is out of paper, it will resume as
paper is loaded in the selected paper
drawer.
