3 Detecting Jams

3.1 Outline

The No. 2 delivery sensor mounted to the inner 2-way tray is used to monitor the move-

ment of paper.

The presence/absence of paper is checked in relation to the presence/absence of paper

over a specific sensor at such times as programmed in the CPU of the DC controller PCB. If
a jam is detected, the CPU will immediately turn off the host’s main motor (M101) and indi-
cate the Jam message in the control panel.
