5.2.4 Points to Note When Handling the CS Unit
The electrical elements in the
CS unit are vulnerable to static
charges. As such, be sure to
free yourself of static charges
before starting the work. More-
over, avoid working in an envi-
ronment where static charges
tend to occur.
When handling the CS unit,
take care not to leave oils or
dirt from your hands on the
photo conducting medium and
the lens assembly. In the case
of the lens assembly [1], you
may use a dry, soft cloth to
wipe off dirt in gentle strokes.
However, do not wipe or use
alcohol on the photo conduct-
ing medium [2].
