Thin fine line/ Vertical white line in HT image upon printing

[Symptom]

When a printout is made, a thin fine line [a] may appear, or a vertical white line [b] may appear in a halftone image.

[Cause]

If some of fine lines radiating in all directions form an angle that does not match the image control on the machine, a thin fine line
appears.
If HT image data [a] of regularly arranged small dots is used, a white line appears in a halftone image due to inconsistency with
the image control.

[Service work]

1) Change the printer driver setting: "Finishing Tab > Advanced Settings > Special Smoothing Mode."
Changing the setting changes the image control on the machine.

Depending on an occurring symptom, choose a) or b) and change the setting.
a) If a thin fine line appears, change Special Smoothing Mode to "Mode 5."
