Mounting temperature sensors
Indoor sensor
Mount the sensor to a standard 2" x 4" (51 mm x 102 mm) junction box using the provided hardware as shown below.
Note: A junction
box is not supplied.
Mounting guidelines
•
Mount sensors on flat surfaces that are free from vibration and where there is adequate distance from foreign objects or moving
equipment.
• Mount sensors in a location where they are exposed adequately to circulated air.
•
Mount floor-level sensors at the same height from the floor as a typical fan wall controller.
• Mount ceiling-level sensors 3–4 ft (0.9–1.2 m) from the ceiling.
Do not mount sensors in the following locations:
•
Adjacent to or above radiant heaters
•
Near HVAC ventilation intakes or exhausts
•
On poorly insulated exterior walls
• In roof decking
•
Near radiant heat sources
