Because the coverage range of Access Points can sometimes overlap, including
different floor levels, the Device Location feature is not intended for use when
attempting to locate a patient.
NOTE
•
Find Device requires that the telemetry monitor has sufficient battery power
and is within the coverage area.
13.9 Sending a Notification to the Telemetry Monitor
You can send a notification to the telemetry monitor to remind a patient to perform certain
activity such as taking medicine.
To send a notification, follow this procedure:
1. On the ViewBed screen of the CMS, select the Send Message quick key from the
quick key area.
2. Enter a notification into the pop-up window.
3. Select Send . This message will be sent to the corresponding telemetry monitor and
displayed on the main screen of this telemetry monitor.
4. If you wish to confirm the notification, tap Confirm at the telemetry monitor.
13.10 Triggering an Alarm Reminding Patients' Location
You can enable the functionality of triggering an alarm when patients enter or move out of
the restricted area at the CMS.
After the functionality is enabled, when a patient enter or move out of the restricted area,
the “Out of the allowed area ” alarm will be triggered at the telemetry monitor.
To enable the functionality, follow this procedure:
1. Select the system menu area in the upper left corner of the CMS screen.

elect System Setup to access the System Setup menu.
3. Select the Network tab.
4. Select the AP Management tab.
5. In the Patient Movement Area Setup section, configure Setup Mode and Depart-
ment .
6. If you need to specify an AP location, enter the desired AP location in the Please
input location information field If you wish to select all the locations, select Select
All .
