Removal of Kingpin
Caution
Exercise care in handling the kingpin since it
is heavy.
Follow the steps below to remove the left
kingpin.
Jack up the machine and remove the rear
tires.
Reference:
"Jack-Up Points" (Page 3-18)
Follow the steps below to remove the
wheel mount.
Remove the cotter pin.

Cotter pin
Install the special tool, R wheel mount
fixing kit onto the wheel mount and
screw in the bolt to the corresponding
mounting hole of the wheel to fix it.
Be sure to set the R wheel mount fixing
kit in the installation position as shown
in the illustration.

Loosen the slotted nut with a socket
wrench.
Note:
Socket wrench size: 37 mm

Caution
If you remove the wheel mount with the
slotted nut removed, the wheel mount and
caliper may pop out at you with the pulley
remover, at the moment when the wheel
mount is removed.
Instead of removing the wheel mount
slotted nut, leave it protruding slightly
from the shaft, and then remove the
wheel mount with the pulley remover.
