
Place the caliper with the side where the
disc rotor is to be inserted oriented upward.
Remove the corrugated cardboard with
holding the pads (cam) (carrier) by hand to
prevent the pad (cam) from coming out.
Pull out the pad (carrier) and pad support
(carrier) upward through the groove of the
housing.

Pad support (carrier)
Remove the pad (cam), pad support (cam),
and spring retainer through the hole of the
carrier of the housing.
Note:
The pads become worn when the brakes
are applied.
Inspect the thickness of the pads.
Replace the pad kit if the pad thickness is
3.3 mm (0.13 in) or less.

Spring retainer
Move the cam lever in the direction of the
arrow, and remove the pivot pin along the
hole on the housing.
Caution
There are two pivot pin receivers inside the
housing.
The position varies between the brake
calipers CW and CCW, so check the position
before moving the pin.

Remove the cam lever.
Inspect wear in the cam lever pivot pin hole,
pivot pin, and pad support.
If they are worn excessively, replace each
part.
