Move the plastic magnet close to and
away from the proximity switch, and check
that the continuity is in the following
condition.
NO type
When the plastic magnet detected:
continuity between connector terminals
2-3
When the plastic magnet not detected:
no continuity between connector
terminals 2-3
NC type
When the plastic magnet detected: no
continuity between connector terminals
2-3
When the plastic magnet not detected:
continuity between connector terminals

Proximity Switch V-out
Inspection of Output Voltage
Important
The control output of the proximity switch V-
out cannot be inspected.
Incorrect measurements may cause damage
to the proximity switch or tester.
Measuring the voltage of the proximity switch
V-out while it is energized can determine the
state of the output.
Follow the steps below to connect the
battery and a voltmeter to the connector
terminal of the proximity switch V-out.
Connect the battery (+) to the connector
terminal (+), and the battery (-) to the
connector terminal (-).
Connect the voltmeter (+) to the
connector terminal V-out, and the
voltmeter (-) to the connector terminal
(-).
Move the plastic magnet close to and
away from the proximity switch, and check
that the voltage is in the following
condition.
NO type
When the plastic magnet detected:
battery voltage (12V) detected between
connector terminals 2-3
When the plastic magnet not detected:
no battery voltage (0V) detected
between connector terminals 2-3
NC type
When the plastic magnet detected: no
battery voltage (0V) detected between
connector terminals 2-3
When the plastic magnet not detected:
battery voltage (12V) detected between
connector terminals 2-3
