Installation of Mower Unit
Caution
The reel cutter (cutting cylinder), bed knife
(bottom blade), and groomer blades are all
edged tools.
Handle them carefully, since they could cut
your hands and feet.
Important
Apply a profuse amount of grease when
installing the mower connecting fitting onto the
mower arm.
For installation, reverse the removing
procedure.

Removal of Tie Rod
Important
Take note of the left/right direction of the tie
rod when removing it.
Remove the cotter pin.
Loosen the slotted nut.

Important
When using a tie rod end puller, loosen it until
the faces of the slotted nut and rod end shaft
tip are aligned, to prevent damage to the rod
end shaft.
Install the tie rod end puller to the rod end.

Rotate the threaded section of the tie rod
end puller to the tightening side, and
remove it from the kingpin.

Follow the same steps to remove the tie
rod end from the other side.
Installation of Tie Rod
Important
Check the correct left and right orientation to
install the tie rod.
Important
Tighten to the specified torque when installing
the rod end slotted nut.
Note:
Tightening torque: 45 N-m (458.87 kgf-cm)
Install the tie rod.
For installation, reverse the removing
procedure.
Check the toe angle.
If the toe angle is not within the
adjustment value, make adjustments.
