Installing Avid Service Framework

Installing Avid Service Framework

Each computer and device running MediaCentral Command software requires at least the core
components of Service Framework and must be able to connect to a computer running the

Avid

Lookup service. This includes the AirSpeed Multi Stream, which will be running the AirSpeed Multi
Stream device service for Command.

To install the Service Framework Software:

1. Insert the AirSpeed Multi Stream installation DVD.

Do not install Service Framework on the video server from the Command installation CD. Use the
installer bundled with the AirSpeed software. Also, when Service Framework is upgraded, be sure to
upgrade only the components for which the update is designed.

2. Navigate to the directory called Avid_Framework_Workstation.

3. Double-click the program:

Setup.exe

.

The Introduction window opens.

4. Click Next.

The Workgroup Name dialog box opens.
