Setting up the Playout Panel for Touch Screens
The Playout panel displays transport controls, thumbnails, duration information and IDs or slugs for
media items.
The panel has two main uses:
•
Lets users access channel specific transport commands from within the Command user interface.
This is most useful for sites with touch screen monitors.
•
Lets users monitor the currently playing item from a workstation that does not have the channel
group locked.
The Playout panel can display either video or graphics. The following illustration shows a Playout
panel with a sample video item.

To view the Playout panel:

Select View > Playout.
To configure the Playout panel:
1. Select Tools > Options. If prompted for a password, you must provide it or contact your system
administrator.
