After you select a plug-in, you must click Apply and let the service restart
before
proceeding.
7. On the Avid Video Device Service Settings tab, enter the name of the device, which must match
the name used for the device channel in the Command system settings.
8. Set the Frame Rate accordingly, and leave the Drop Frame check box selected.

The Frame Rate setting is a default; it is displayed whether the Video device service (VDS) is using
the default VDCP mode or using a plug-in. It will be displayed in the FastServe VDS plug-in
configuration, but is not used because VDS gets the frame rate from the player to which it is
connected.
9. Set timeout in seconds for cue, start (play), pause, and eject.
10. The recommended value for “Cueing time is 9500.
11. The recommended value for “Starting time” is 1000.
12. The recommended value for “Ejecting time” is 9500.
13. The recommended value for “Update interval is 500.
14. Enter the IP of the FastServe in “OCIP Host”.
15. Enter the port setting for “OCIP Port”, default is 10001, which can be changed in FastServe |
Playout Websettings.
16. Click Apply and then click Yes when asked to restart the device service. You can then close the
Avid Service Configuration application.
