Configuration of New Boards
If your IVP4 board is new and is still packed in the factory box, take note of
the type of switch and the factory switch settings. The board is shipped from
the factory with the switches correctly set for use as board 1. If the board has
rocker switches, it is always configuration A as shown in Figure 2. If the
board has slide switches, it will have one of the configurations ( B or C) shown
in Figure 2. Mark the board with a small label to indicate whether
configuration A, B, or C is used. If you do not mark the board, it may be
difficult to determine the correct configuration for future

Configuration of Previously Installed Boards
For boards which are already in use, examine the second bank of switches
(SW12.1):
■
If the board has rocker switches, the configuration is A.
■
If the board has slide switches that are marked “OPEN” on the top or
bottom (or on the side with an arrow toward the top or bottom), the
configuration is B (top) or C (bottom) respectively.
