Before you begin, be sure the RJ-11-to-DB9 serial data cable is connected between the Host PC and ASUS
DS300f G2, and that both machines are booted and running.

Then do the following actions:
1. Change your
terminal emulation program settings to match the following specifications:
• Bits per second: 115200
• Data bits: 8
• Parity: None
• Stop bits: 1
• Flow control: none
2. Start your PC’s terminal VT100 or ANSI emulation program.
3. Press
Enter
once to launch the CLI.

A Telnet connection requires a network connection between the Host PC and the Management (Ethernet) port
on the ASUS ASUS DS300f G2 controller.

To start the telnet program:
1. Go to the command line prompt (Windows) or click the terminal icon (Linux).
2. Type
telnet 10.0.0.1
and press
Enter
.
The IP address above is only an example.
Use the Management port IP address of your ASUS DS300f G2.
The Telnet default port number is 2300.
3. Press
Enter
once to launch the CLI.
