AUTOPULSE Z-28 ExtA
Card
The AUTOPULSE Z-28 ExtA Card, which always resides at card address 17, is a unique card
in the AUTOPULSE Z-28 system. The AUTOPULSE Z-28 ExtA card itself is a pseudo card,
which means that an actual hardware "card" does not exist at address 17. However, unlike
other pseudo cards in the system, the points on the AUTOPULSE Z-28 ExtA pseudo card track
the status of actual hardware points. The points on the AUTOPULSE Z-28 ExtA Card are used
to control and track the status of the NAC circuits found on all of the AUTOPULSE Z-28 ExtA
devices configured in the system. Therefore, the number of configured points on the
AUTOPULSE Z-28 ExtA Card may vary, depending on the number of AUTOPULSE Z-28
ExtA devices configured in the system. The AUTOPULSE Z-28 can have up to five
AUTOPULSE Z-28 ExtA devices programmed into the system, with each AUTOPULSE Z-28
ExtA device having up to 8 NAC points, and 8 card status points associated with it. An
overview of how the AUTOPULSE Z-28 ExtA points are configured, and how these points are
associated with a specific AUTOPULSE Z-28 ExtA device, is provided in the following
sections.
