4. Verify the size of the crushing with the sampler, the compression of the grain in the bag and
the stretching of the bag and make the necessary adjustments (see section 4.2).
NOTE:
Make
sure
the
bag
stretching
follows
the
manufacturers instructions during bagging. To do so,
measure the stretch bar located on the side of the bag
with a measuring tape. The value obtained must not
exceed the indicated measure by more than 5 %. See
section 4.2.1Machine settingsto find out how to adjust
the stretching of the bag.
Flange finishing
When the bag is almost filled or there is no more grain to bag, the bag must be cut and sealed. To do
so, proceed as follows:
1. If there is grain left in the hopper, close the hopper trap (see Adjusting the opening of the hop-
per trap in section 4.2 to find out how to close the trap).
2. Bring the tractor forward very slowly without deactivating the power takeoff until there is no
grain left between the tunnel and the bag.
3. Bring the tractor forward a further 6.5 ft (2 meters).
