Operation Guide – Grain bagger GB-series
Anderson Group
If using water to clean the machine, you must
perform a complete greasing of all its greasing
points. This will avoid water infiltration in the
joints and bearings.
5.8 Power transmission
NOTE:
See section 1.3.5 for the different parts of power
transmission.
5.8.1 Drive shaft
The drive shaft must be greased after every 10 hours of use.
5.8.2 Hex belts
An adequate tension must always be maintained on the belts. If the belts are soiled with oil, they
must be cleaned with an alkaline cleanser. Do not use gas or other similar products to clean the
belts.
The belts must always be replaced at the same time. They must not be replaced one at a time.
The tension on the belts must be checked after the first 10 hours of use following their servicing or
replacement. Afterwards, it is recommended to check the tension of the belts every 50 hours or
twice a year.
Adjusting belt tension
In order to adjust belt tension, proceed as follows:
NOTE:
Belt adjustment is performed on the retractor arm (A)
(see Figure 49 – Belt adjustment).
1. Open the front mobile guard.
2. Mesure the necessary force (T) to obtain an 0.4 in (10 mm) displacement (F) (see Figure 48 –
Checking Belt Tension) at the center of the belts located between pulleys 1 and 2.
