1.3.4 Crushing roller casing
From the hopper, the grains fall into the casing to be crushed by passing between the two grooved
rollers (A and B). The opening level of the trap (C) enables the control of the grain flow (to know
how to adjust the opening of the trap, see section 4.2). The roller (B) is fixed, while the roller (A) is
mounted on rails (D) and can move laterally. The flywheel (E) allows the adjustment of the pressure
between the rollers to modify the size of the crushing (to know how to adjust the pressure between
the rollers, see section 4.2).
Two crushing roller casings are available for the bagger. In one, the rollers contain less grooves and
are used to crush the corn, and in the other, the rollers contain more grooves and are used for other
types of cereal. To know how to change the casing on the bagger, see section 8.
