NXA-WAP200G Wireless Access Point
It is best to have a Static IP Address assigned to the WAP200G so if the Configuration
Utility needs to be accessed again at some later point in time, the
Network Connections
>
TCP/IP Configuration Properties
can be setup with the correct IP Address for direct
communication to the WAP200G.
2.
Select the IP Address Mode by selecting the
Static
radio button from within the
IP Address
Mode
field.
3.
Enter the Static IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway information into their respective fields
on this page. These values can be obtained from the System Administrator.
4.
Click the
Save
button to incorporate this new information.
5.
Click the
Reboot
button from the new Temporarily Saved page that appears.
6.
Click
OK
to reconfirm you want to reboot the WAP200G. Once the WAP200G reboots, the
Configuration Utility pages will be unable to be displayed within the web browser until the
TCP/IP properties of the computer are reset and the new IP of the WAP200G is used.
7.
Click
Start
>
Settings
>
Control Panel
from the taskbar (FIG. 34).
8.
Double-click the
Network Connections
(
on
XP
) or
Network and Dial-Up Connections
icon.
9.
Right click the
Local Area Connection
icon and select
Properties
from the popup options
list.
10.
Select
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
from the Local Area Connection Properties screen.
11.
Click
Properties
to open the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties screen.
12.
Return your source computer to its’ previous setting by either clicking the
Obtain IP Address
Automatically
button or entering in your previous Static IP/DHCP Address.
13.
Click
OK
to return to the Local Area Connection Properties screen.
14.
Click
OK
/
Close
to accept these changes and alter the IP Connection properties of the
computer.

Control Panel Navigation
Altering the IP communication protocols of the computer specifies the IP Address
pool being used by the computer. This action then assists the communication to the
WAP200G located on the same Subnet.
