Configuring the Modero panel for unsecured access
1.
Verify the proper installation of a wireless card within your target panels.
When configuring touch panels for wireless communication, verify that
no Ethernet
connector
is installed
within the panel before the unit is power cycled.
2.
Power-up the touch panel containing the wireless card.
3.
Press and hold the grey Front Setup Access button (
or the two lower buttons on both sides of
the MVP display
) for
3 seconds
to open the Setup page (FIG. 25).
4.
Press the
Protected Setup
button (located on the lower-left of the panel page) to open the
Protected Setup page and display an on-screen keypad.
5.
Enter
1988
into the Keypad’s password field and press
Done
when finished.
If an NXA-WC802.11b PCMCIA wireless card is installed into an already powered
panel, the panel could then become "frozen" and would require power-cycling before
the new wireless card is detected. If there is both an Ethernet and wireless
connection detected by the panel, Modero will prefer the wired Ethernet mode of
communication.
