NXA-WAP200G Wireless Access Point
For 64-bit encryption keys, you must enter 10 hex digits or 5 characters into the following
WEP Key
field.
For 128-bit encryption keys, you must enter 26 hex digits or 13 characters into the
following
WEP Key
field.

Click the
WEP Key Length
drop-down arrow and choose an encryption key size and length
from the
WEP Key Length
field listing. The available choices are:
64 bit (10 hex digits)
,
128 bit (26 hex digits)
, 64 bit (5 ASCII chars), and 128 bit (13 ASCII chars).
For communication to Modero panels, choose from either the 64 bit (10 hex digits)
and 128 bit (26 hex digits) options.
Whatever WEP encryption strength you previously choose on the Modero panel must be
matched within this field on the WAP200G. If you selected
WEP 128
on the panel, you
must choose 128 bit encryption
here.

From the
Default WEP Key to use
field (FIG. 31), use the drop-down arrow to choose the same
value as assigned to the panel (from 1 - 4).
This WEP Key identifier value must match for
both devices.
12.
Enter Current Key string value (
previously generated on the Modero panel
) into the
WEP Key
field on the WAP (FIG. 31) and
remember to enter this value WITHOUT COLONS
.
13.
Place a checkmark within the
Deny Unencrypted Data
checkbox field to deny any unencrypted
users from being able to access the newly secured WAP200G.
14.
Select the type of Authentication by selecting the desired radio button from within the
Authentication
field.
Open
allows any wireless device using the correct SSID to communicate to the
WAP200G.
Shared
requires that only those wireless devices using the proper WEP key be allowed to
communicate to the WAP200G.
Both
allows a wireless device to use either method (
recommended
).
15.
Click the
Save
button to incorporate this new information
and ignore the request to reboot
.
16.
Click the
Access
tab, from the top row of the Configuration Utility to open the Access Control
for Enhanced Security page (FIG. 32).
17.
Place a checkmark within the
Enable Access Control
checkbox field.
18.
Enter the MAC Addresses of the communicating Modero panels (
found within the Wireless/
Secondary Connection page > IP Settings section
) into these MAC Address fields. This
A hex digit is either a number from 0 to 9 or a letter from A to F. If you leave a key box
blank (empty), this equates to a key of all zeros.
When using the WEP Key value from the Modero panel with the WAP200G
choose hex digits vs ASCII chars and enter only hexidecimal digits into the
WAP200G’s WEP Key field.
Choose from either the 64 bit (10 hex digits) and 128 bit (26 hex digits) options.
