Bridge Mode Configuration Utility Pages
The NXA-WAP200G can be deployed in one of three modes to increase deployment locations:
Access Point, Repeater, and Bridge Mode. This section outlines the properties of the Bridge Mode:
Bridge Mode - In this mode the WAP allows devices with only wired 10/100 Ethernet
ports such as a Printer, PlayStation2, X-Box, PVR, etc. to be connected to the LAN
wirelessly.
The following graphic (FIG. 49) illustrates a typical PC/Bridge configuration:
To begin setting up this type of configuration, the WAP200G must be using the
default IP Address (192.168.1.240) and can not have previously been setup with a
Static IP Address.
If the WAP200G was previously configured (within the Access Point Mode), press
the rear RESET button to return the unit to its default settings/values and follow the
procedures below to prepare the source computer for communication to the target
WAP200G.
Status Page (Bridge Mode)
After you have logged into the Configuration Utility for the NXA-WAP200G you will note that the
WAP200G has been configured to function in Bridge Mode. This page provides a read-only
overview of the various WAP200G communication settings and parameters set within the other
Configuration Utility pages. To display the current status information, click the Refresh button on
your web browser or the Status tab from the Configuration Utility. The fields on this Status page
(FIG. 50) are described in the table below.
