Troubleshooting
If marking is affected by these problems, take the following measures. If these measures do not solve
the problem, contact us.
A.3 Problems in Marking Results

Marking is too light.
Unsuitable material for marking under the
current marking conditions.
Change the marking conditions.
Incorrect focal distance to the material for
marking.
Adjust the focal distance.
The f
lens or protective glass is dirty.
Clean the lens or glass.
Power is declining because the LD is near
the end of its useful life.
Replace the FC-LD (Oscillation Unit).
Marking is erratic.
Incorrect marking conditions (such as the
marking speed)
Change the marking conditions, ensuring the
correct values are used.
Incorrect opening/closing timing of the Q
switch (problem at the start and end of
marking characters)
Correct the setting value.
The Head Unit or workpiece is vibrating (lines
are crooked).
Adjust the laser and workpiece to prevent
vibration.
Excessive noise is coming from an external
source.
Eliminate the source of noise.
The scanner is showing signs of wear.
Replace the scanner.
