4.5 FC-LD (Oscillation Unit) Inspection and Replacement
■
ML-7111A and ML-9001A
Have the following items ready when inspecting or replacing the FC-LD of the ML-7111A and ML-
9001A:
•
FC-LD (new or refurbished)
•
Hex wrench
•
Phillips screwdriver

Unscrew six screws on the side of the
Control Unit.

Remove the carrying handle by
unscrewing four hex screws on top of
the Control Unit on both sides.

Remove the cover by sliding it back
about 15 mm and lifting it up.

Remove the FC-LD insulating cover.

Insert the shorting pin in the red and black terminals
as shown in order to close the circuit.
Be sure to insert the ends of the pin in the correct
terminals.

Before replacing the FC-LD, always turn off the equipment. Wait at least 5 minutes before
starting work. Performing replacement while the unit is on or immediately after it is turned
off poses a risk of electric shock, fire, or injury (including burns and blindness).

Never attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the FC-LD yourself.
