3.2 Connections
Refer to the following figure when connecting marker components. Keep the following points in mind
when connecting the components.
•
Do not share the power supply with other large equipment.
•
Avoid bundling connecting cables or remote control cables with other power cables. The resulting
electromagnetic noise may cause malfunctions.
•
Always connect the Protective Earth at the Control Unit terminal to the ground of the electrical outlet.
•
As a measure for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and to protect against electrostatic discharge
(ESD), be sure to use an external cable to connect the Control Unit grounding terminal to the terminal
on the back of the Head Unit.
•
After connecting the power cable and external grounding cable to the power supply terminals, always
attach the terminal cover.
•
Connect the AC power supply to terminals L and N.
•
When connecting optical fibers, be careful to avoid soiling or damaging the ends of the fiber. To
prevent damage, when bending the fiber, make sure the bending radius is at least 150 mm. Attach
the fiber guide to the fiber cable connector.
Keep the caps originally attached to the Head Unit and optical fiber in a safe place because you will
use them again if the optical fiber is removed.
•
When connecting or removing optical fibers, turn the fixing nut of the optical fiber. Keep it level and
insert it or pull it out slowly.
•
The software driver for the marker must be installed before connecting a computer to the Control Unit.
For driver installation instructions, see the manual for LMDraw6.
3.2 Connections
・
This work must be done only by qualified electricians.
・
The power supply must be single-phase 100 V AC to 240 V AC, with capacity of at least 1
kVA.
・
The power cable provided with the equipment is exclusively for 100 V AC use.
When using a power supply other than 100 V AC, prepare an appropriate cable.
