4.4 Protective Glass Inspection and Replacement
If the protective glass is dirty, clean or replace it.
Have the following items ready when cleaning or replacing the protective glass:
•
Lens cleaning paper
•
Ethanol
•
Air blow
4.4.1 Cleaning the Protective Glass

Turn off the equipment.

Blow off foreign particles by using the air
blow.

If the foreign particles cannot be
eliminated, apply a few drops of ethanol
to the lens cleaning paper. Wipe the
protective glass as shown (in a spiral
motion from the center outward).
If ethanol does not clean the protective
glass, you will need to replace the
protective glass.
4.4.2 Replacing the Protective Glass

Turn off the equipment.

Remove the protective glass holder by
unscrewing it.
4.4 Protective Glass Inspection and Replacement
The continued use of the dirty protective glass may cause burnout inside the Head Unit by the
reflected light from the protective glass.
Wipe in a spiral
motion.
