4.5 FC-LD (Oscillation Unit) Inspection and Replacement

Insert the signal line connector while
aligning the red marks.

Connect the relay connectors for the LD power supply, Peltier power supply, thermal switch,
and relay. Tighten the clamp.

After FC-LD replacement, attach the cover on the left side from above.

Slide the cover toward the front, then
insert it.

Attach the cover on the right side
from above.

Slide the cover toward the front, then
insert it. Secure it with six screws on
the back.

When starting the equipment for the first time after FC-LD replacement, reset the
total LD time and enter the values for the LD wavelength and current limit. Failure to
do this may impair laser output efficiency. For details, refer to the Operating Unit
manual.

Using the same current value after FC-LD replacement as before replacement
poses a risk of damage to oscillator parts due to excessive laser output. After FC-
LD replacement, always set the current
to “Maximum Setting Current Value”
indicated on the seal attached to the FC-LD.
Used FC-LDs can be reconditioned to their original performance levels for a fee.
