8
Turn the fixing nut of the optical fiber
counter-clockwise. Keep it level as you
slowly pull it out.
9
After unplugging the optical fiber, cover
the end with the cap. For the FC-LD side
connector as well, cover the connector
with a cap for the head side.
10
Unscrew the four hex screws holding
the FC-LD.
There is a graphite sheet between
the heat sink and FC-LD. This sheet
will be used again, so handle it
carefully and save it.
11
With the graphite sheet between the heat sink and replacement FC-LD, secure the FC-LD with
four hex screws.
12
Remove the caps from the FC-LD and optical fiber.
13
Slowly insert the optical fiber horizontally. Manually turn it clockwise to attach it.
Tighten the fixing nut of the optical fiber.
14
Tighten the optical fiber fixture firmly to secure the fiber.
Keep the caps for the optical fiber and LD head in a safe place.
15
Secure the optical fiber with the clamp.
To avoid damaging the optical fiber, do not apply force that would deform the optical
fiber bundled in the Control Unit. Never bend the optical fiber more sharply than its
bending radius (150 mm).
Handle the end surface of the fiber carefully to prevent damaging or soiling it.
If the graphite sheet is bent or damaged, thermal conductivity will worsen
considerably. Contact us if you need to know the model number of the graphite sheet.
