Context <GLOBAL>
Description
The TCP/IP traceroute utility determines the route to a destination address. Note that aborting a traceroute
with the <Ctrl-C> command could require issuing a second <Ctrl-C> command before the prompt is
returned.

Parameters ip-address | dns-name — The remote address to traceroute. The IP address or the DNS name (if DNS name
resolution is configured) can be specified.

integer.

no-dns — When the no-dns keyword is specified, a DNS lookup for the specified host name will not be
performed.
Default DNS lookups are performed
source ip-address — The source IP address to use as the source of the probe packets in dotted decimal
notation. If the IP address is not one of the device’s interfaces, an error is returned.
