5.3 Annual maintenance
Tests & inspections (after prior draining and cleaning) by a properly qualified person:
■
Check the condition and function of the grease and sludge draw-off.
■
Check the condition and function of the compressor.
■
Check the condition and function of the agitating device.
■
Check the function of the filling device in accordance with EN 1717. Clean the outlet of
the filling device.
■
Check the internal wall surfaces of the separator housing for corrosion.
■
Check the condition and function of the installed parts, e.g. inlet fittings.
■
Test the functioning of electrical component installations, e.g. heating rod.
■
Check the function of the control and automatic operating processes.
■
Clean the sampling equipment as and when necessary.
5.4 5-yearly general inspection
Tests and/or inspections (following prior draining and cleaning) by a properly qualified
technician before commissioning and then every 5 years at the latest:
■
Check the dimensioning of the grease separator.
■
Check the structural condition and leak tightness of the grease separator in accordance
with DIN 4040-100.
■
Check the condition of the internal wall surfaces, built-in parts and electrical equipment.
■
Check for proper execution of the vent stack of the grease separator as a vent stack
above the roof in accordance with EN 1825-2.
■
Check the completeness and plausibility of the entries in the operating log, e.g.
verifications of proper disposal, constituents removed, sampling.
■
Check for completeness of the required permits and documents, e.g. approvals,
drainage plans, instructions for use.
