Chapter 4 – SmartPAC PRO Program Mode 

TOOL MANAGER 

(PROGRAM 

– TOOL MANAGER) 

The TOOL MANAGER item on the Main Program Menu enables you to view, edit, create, copy, 
delete and load tools. You perform these functions on the Tool Manager screen (see Figure 4-2), 
which displays when you select TOOL MANAGER. 

Once you have created a tool, you must program it before the tool can be loaded. You program tools 
on the Tool Program Menu, Figure 4-11, page 133, which you access from the Tool Manager screen 
by pressing EDIT TOOL. 

The Tool Manager screen displays a list of the tools that have already been created. The currently 
loaded tool is highlighted.  

To view, edit, load, delete, create, or copy a tool, press the appropriate button; see detailed 
instructions in the sections below.

For more detail about the tools, press List View to show the information in Figure 4-3. The currently 
loaded tool is highlighted in yellow.  

Sort the tools by number, name, etc., by pressing the desired category item at the top of the list.  

For details about a tool, press the tool number and a detail window appears, Figure 4-4. From this 
window you can perform the operations described in the sections below, such as view, edit, load, 
delete or copy the tool. To see a detailed summary of the tool data, such as counter presets, cams and 
sensors, go to
