Operation

6.5.6.3

Activation of the Test Alarm

The test alarm simulates a shallow water alarm for a duration of one second. When the
test alarm is triggered, an acoustic alarm sounds and the alarm is displayed in the status
bar of the

Navigation Echo Sounder ELAC LAZ 5200

and on all the interfaces (NMEA

and relay). If the real alarm state changes during the test, the test alarm is automatically
aborted.

Activating the test alarm

Proceed as follows to activate the test
alarm:

1. Open the menu





spective alarm.

3. Press the

[ENTER]

key.

The warning "TEST ALARM" is dis-
played.

4. Select “Yes” using the

[CURSOR]

keys

(up or down).

[ENTER]

key to confirm the

selection.

The shallow water alarm is trig-
gered for a duration of one second.
