6.5.5.3

Manual Setting of the Reception Gain ("GAIN")

The reception gain can be set manually using the 

[GAIN]

 keys. When the lowest setting 

is selected, "Min Gain" appears in the display area. When the highest setting is selected, 
"Max Gain" appears in the display area.

Setting the reception gain

When the "Auto Gain" function is activated, the reception gain can still be set manually. 
The "Auto Gain" function ensures only that the maximum gain level does not become 
too large or too small. For this reason it is possible that the manually set reception gain 
is immediately changed again automatically.

A description of activation and deactivation of the “Auto Gain” function can be found in 
section 

6.5.5.2 "Activating and Deactivating the "Auto Gain" Function". 

Proceed as follows to set the reception 
gain:

1. To increase the reception gain, press 

the 

[GAIN]

 

 key (up).

2. To decrease the reception gain, press 

the 

[GAIN]

 

 key (down).

The reception gain is set immediately. 
No confirmation is necessary. The set 
reception gain 

 is shown briefly in the 

display area.
