Setting the Alarm Limits
The alarm limits for the shallow water alarm and the deep water alarm can be set in a
range from 0 to 9999 m. The alarm limits of activated alarms are shown on the scale of
the depth measuring range in the display area (
6.3.2.2.2 "Representation of Alarm
Setting the alarm limit
The alarm limits are always set in metres, irrespective of the selected unit for the depth
display (
6.5.7.2 "Selection of the Unit for the Depth Display").
The set value is always referred to the distance from the water surface, irrespective of
the selected reference point (
6.5.7.1 "Selection of the Reference Point").
The default setting for the shallow water alarm limit is "0 m". The default setting for the
deep water alarm limit is "1000 m".
Proceed as follows to set the alarm limit:
1. Open the menu
2. Select menu item
MAIN MENU >
ALARM SETUP > Depth
of the re-
spective alarm.
3. Press the
[ENTER]
key.
4. Set the figures for the alarm limit using
the
[CURSOR]
keys (up and down)
and confirm in each by pressing the
[ENTER]
key.

After setting the last digit and
pressing the
[ENTER]
key, the set
value for the alarm limit is saved.
