NMEA data set for polling the device status. The data set indicates whether or not the 
device is operating normally. The data set is transmitted at regular intervals. The data set 
is only transmitted by the 

Navigation Echo Sounder ELAC LAZ 5200

.

The data set contains the following information:

Configured repetition interval in seconds

With the Navigation Echo Sounder ELAC LAZ 5200, the repetition interval is 
always "20".

Device status

•

A = Device operating normally.

•

V = Device not operating normally.

The Navigation Echo Sounder ELAC LAZ 5200 outputs an "A" if at least one 
result has been obtained in echo sounding mode since the last heartbeat 
check.

Message identification number from 0 to 9 that is assigned sequentially and 
incremented for each new set. When the counter reaches "9", it is reset to "0".
